Sr Analyst, Quality Assurance

Position Summary: Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Sr Analyst, Quality Assurance and responsible for quality assurance efforts on small and medium size projects, business support requests, and off-cycle QA requests. Ensure quality outcomes of assigned projects and requests. Define comprehensive test strategies, plans, and environment checklist requirements for manual or automated testing, and lead and actively participate in test case development and execution for assigned projects and requests. Utilize understanding of complex software architecture and software design documents. Participate in team review of requirements/design documentation and prepare the overall test strategy and test plan for manual and/or automated testing. Prepare the test suite for QA execution to ensure the requirements and quality targets are satisfied. Leverage existing manual and/or automated test cases, and design and develop new test cases in line with test strategies and plans while overseeing the efforts of other QA Analysts to update and develop new test cases. Implement quality assurance strategy and planning, effort estimation, and software quality assurance risks assessment and mitigation. Develop test plans and assess performance data, including unit and integration testing. Execute test cases and validate results, meet deadlines and provide first tier of triage for project defects found during test execution. Generate test reports that communicate test results, concerns and project status with an emphasis on project risk, including defect rates to the product management team. Apply expertise in automated testing/manual testing, test management tools (HP, ALM, Rally, SBM teamtrack), SQL and Web Applications/Web Services, and relational databases. Utilize concepts and techniques of advanced mathematics and algorithms, engineering, computer applications, computer science, computer information systems, IT, the technical sciences, and/or related areas. Work in a fluid environment, defining and owning engineering priorities that adapt to our larger goals, communicating effectively with business partners. The "assigned projects" refer to quality assurance work performed on the employer’s internal and customer-facing software platforms, including but not limited to retail pharmacy systems, prescription benefit management (PBM) applications, inventory and order management systems, claims processing tools, and healthcare data analytics dashboards. These projects range from small- to medium-sized software development initiatives and include scheduled development cycles as well as off-cycle requests. The Sr Analyst, Quality Assurance is responsible for analyzing and testing these systems to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements. The systems under test include both web-based and backend applications. Specific testing responsibilities include defining test strategies and plans, preparing environment checklists, executing both manual and automated test cases, validating integration with external systems, and ensuring system stability, security, and usability. Testing activities also cover defect identification, documentation, and tracking, as well as reporting on quality metrics such as defect rates and coverage. Testing tools and technologies used in these efforts may include HP ALM, Rally, SQL, and other test management platforms, applied within a collaborative environment that emphasizes agile methodology and cross-functional coordination with business and technical stakeholders. Telecommuting available. - Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: XML, JSON, and JavaScript; Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles; REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs; JIRA, Rally, or Confluence; SQL, MySQL, PowerBI and Tableau; Software testing, quality assurance, and troubleshooting; Data analytics on large data sets in healthcare, business, or retail sector; and Data warehousing. Pay Range: $85,987.00/year to $100,000.00/year. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
