Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Design, plan, execute device data management plans for clinical research projects.Design, development, evaluation and modification of computer programs to analyze and evaluate clinical data.Implements data management plans designed to meet project and protocol deadlines. Plan, execute and coordinate programming activities for database manipulations, transfer and analysis of data for internal and external clients.Manage large projects or processes and exercise considerable latitude in determining deliverables of assignments with limited oversight from manager.  Data Quality & Governance: Implement data validation, monitoring, and alerting frameworks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security of data assets.Collaboration & Documentation: Understand requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and document data schemas, pipeline designs, and best practices.Explore and integrate innovative data tools, including LLMs and agentic systems, into the existing data ecosystem to enhance analytics and automation.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Statistics or Data science.Minimum 2 years of relevant experience within medical device industry or related roles.Experience using clinical data management system (i.e. Oracle Clinical / Medidata and SQL) and data analysis (i.e. PYTHON, R, MATLAB and data visualization).  Extensive experience with data mining and processing. Experience with version control systems, especially Git, including Git user interfaces (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Customer-focused mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving needs. Collaborative, proactive, and able to build trust with both internal and external stakeholders. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex, large-scale problems. Curious, resilient, and motivated to continuously improve and explore new solutions.

Desirable qualifications: Solid understanding of clinical device/drug development process. Understanding of data privacy and security standards (GDPR, HIPAA). Exposure to BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) and dashboard development.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
