Sr Advanced Analytics Analyst

A Day in the LifeWe are seeking an Analytic Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and help transform data into actionable insights. In this role, you will work in an agile environment, collaborating closely with subject matter experts, business users, scrum masters, and IT partners to understand business processes and the data that drives them. You will design, build, and optimize data solutions that enable advanced analytics and reporting, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and scalability across the organization.

This is a remote position based in Bogota, Colombia.

This role partners with business stakeholders to understand and solve business problems. Primarily they are responsible for building insights and analytics while providing subject matter expertise, technical knowledge, and analytic product ownership. They will create user workflows analytics and insights and bring them to life.

The role supports GOSC Global Operations. The mission of this role is to contribute to the building of GO&SC INSIGHTS to drive for best-in-class practices and tools for Global Operations.

The role will also need to work hand in hand with the Analytics Development Team and the product owners to manage the creation and deployment of solutions that simplify our customers processes and generate insights that align with our customers goals. This role needs to provide excellent customer service in a way that helps our stakeholders perform at their very best. The role will move with decisiveness and courage, drive experimentation and calculated risk taking to create solutions that are simple and innovative that are the best possible for our stakeholders.

Furthermore, the role needs to seek out best practices, educate our stakeholders, and be an agent of change within the organization to educate and drive data-based decisions and workflows for our stakeholders.

This role will follow the data engineering life cycle and combines business acumen with technical acumen. This role will also work closely with our Global IT partners to ensure that data required to support our insights is available and of high quality. The mission of data engineering is to deliver high quality data assets on time. This role may also be required to perform adhoc analysis to further business insights as needed.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: 

Work in an agile way by attending daily scrum calls and weekly sprint planning sessions

Work with SME’s, users of our systems, scrum masters and IT partners to better under business processes and the data which supports those processes

Adhere to data engineering life cycle (generation, ingestion, transformation, serving) and all related under currents ( security, data management, data operations, data architecture, orchestration and software engineering )

Facilitate the ideation and creation of analytical solutions for various functions.

Capture requirements and suggest improvements for analytical processes.

Collaborate extensively across cross-functional teams and the organization.

Ensure the development of analytics aligns with end-to-end business processes and objectives 

Act as a key resource to support and drive analytics initiatives 
Ensure a high level of customer value and satisfaction through ownership and accountability 

Promote the adoption and usage of analytics tools and insights across the organization 

Support training and enablement of analytic tools 

Ensure timely and efficient delivery of solutions 

Serve as a steward of analytics by generating insights for business use cases 

 

Required Knowledge and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and Operation Analytics

Demonstrated proficiency in one or more data programming languages (  SQL, PL/SQL , Snowflake scripting, Python, Power Query, DAX )

Demonstrates high emotional intelligence : Self Awareness, Empathy, Motivation, Self  Regulation, Social skills

Strong expertise in Analytics and SAP 

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience  

Advanced English skills 

Good communication and leadership skills 

 

  

Nice to Have: 

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, QAD 

Demand and Supply Planning Systems such as SAP APO, Blue Yonder 

Data transformation tools such as dbt or Coalesce 

Data extraction tools such as Informatica, Alteryx, Knime, Dataiku 

Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform 

Ability to influence decisions and drive projects to completion 

Reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire 

Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) 

Experience with API scripting 

Experience working in an Agile environment 

SAP BW HANA and SAP HANA Enterprise Edition 

Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Medical Device) 

Data modeling tools such as MIRO, Erwin, PowerDesigner 

Demonstrated autonomy and independence in influencing design of products, processes, and standards related to the data engineering life cycle 

Adoption of AI tools and innovation to deliver value to analytics users
