Major Activities
Reconcile and analyze various general ledger account balances.Partner with internal departments to research questions and resolve issues related to rent, occupancy costs, utilities and repair and maintenance expenses.Prepare and enter various general ledger journal entries for month-end closing.Prepare and analyze monthly financial schedules for presentation at monthly business partner reviews.Prepare quarterly and annual audit schedules in support of public disclosures. Work with external auditors to ensure successful audits.Partner with the Financial Reporting Team to research and recommend changes in accounting for new literature related to US GAAP, SOX, or SEC compliance.Monitor and evaluate internal controls as related to rent, occupancy and related costs.Plans, organizes, assigns, reviews, and evaluates the work of assigned staff.Coaches staff, evaluates staff performance and effectively recommends other personnel decisions.Trains and develops staff to be best-in-class high performers,Other duties as assigned
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in AccountingMinimum Special Certifications or technical skills
Strong accounting (GAAP) skillsProficiency in MS ExcelMinimum Type of experience the job requires
3+ years of general accounting experiencePreferred Education
MBA and/or CPA, CMAPreferred Special Certifications or technical skills
Proficiency in OraclePreferred Type of experience the job requires
