**Job Title: Spooling Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Spooling Operator who can adhere to safety guidelines, handle hazardous chemicals responsibly, and maintain high standards in machine operation and material quality. This role involves preventive maintenance, machine setup, and participation in quality and process control systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Follow all safety guidelines and handle hazardous chemicals (IPA) properly.
+ Complete preventive maintenance on machines and ensure proper mill machine setup.
+ Understand and follow the Response Flow Checklist (RFC).
+ Monitor the quality of produced material consistently.
+ Actively participate in weekly stand-up meetings.
+ Support Copy Exact processes, 6S, and equipment & process control monitoring systems.
+ Identify and notify production lead of process and/or equipment problems.
+ Adhere to all ISO quality procedures.
+ Act as a technical resource during root cause analysis.
+ Maintain proper segregation of rework material.
+ Support systematic external and internal change control procedures.
+ Complete and maintain process records including process control charts and preventive maintenance checklists.
+ Consult with team lead on production schedules.
+ Cross-train on other departmental functions and assist in the cross-training of co-workers.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Machine operating skills in a manufacturing environment.
+ Detail orientation.
+ Ability to follow production instructions and maintain quality standards.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School Diploma or GED, or at least 1 year of manufacturing experience.

**Work Environment**
Work in a well-lit, organized environment with approximately 20 machines. While there may be a slight smell of chemicals at times, the workplace is very safe and continuously growing.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Itasca, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
