About this role:
The Chief Operating Office Technology(COO Tech) organization, provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. COO Technology provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization. CAO Technology is the dedicated technology team supporting Corporate Properties, Corporate Security, Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Resiliency, Privacy, CAO Data and Insights technology needs.
Within COO Technology, we are seeking a Specialty Software Engineering Senior Manager to join the CAO (Chief Administrative Office) Technology group. This role will lead various build out & delivery of CAO portfolios and specifically Corporate Properties Group.
In this role, you will:
Manage, coach, and develop a team or teams of engineering managers and experienced engineers in specialized domain areas, in roles with moderate complexity and risk responsible for building high quality capabilities with modern technologyEnsure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirements with each releasePartner with, engage and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture and enable application migration paths to target architecture, for example cloud readiness, application modernization, data strategyFunction as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planningIdentify and recommend opportunities for driving escalated resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standardsDetermine appropriate strategy and actions to act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and the teams to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables and help remove impediments, obstacles, and friction while encouraging constant learning, experimentation, and continual improvementBuild engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design, as neededInterpret, develop and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with moderate complexity, as well as identify, manage and mitigate technology and enterprise riskCollaborate with, partner with and influence Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, influence technology requirements and priorities in the product roadmap, promote innovative and intelligent solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practicesInteract directly with third party vendors and technology service providersManage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in technology engineeringHire, build and guide a culture of talent development to have the specialized domain experience and skills required to effectively design and deliver innovative solutions for product areas and products to meet business objectives and strategy, as well as conduct performance management for engineers and managers
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education6+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology6+ years of current hands-on software development & engineering experience6+ years of SAP S/4 HANA upgrade/implementation, delivery and support experience6+ years of experience with application and data integrations across heterogeneous systems4+ years of experience managing SaaS & COTS applications3+ years of management or leadership experience3+ years of direct report management experience including, but not limited to, assigning tasks, conducting performance evaluations and determining salary adjustments
