Specialized Facility Technician
Our client, a leading organization in pharmaceutical manufacturing support, is seeking a Facilities Technician 2 to join their team. As a Facilities Technician 2, you will be part of the Facility Management team supporting a large, complex campus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical, electrical troubleshooting, and programming skills, along with a proactive attitude and excellent problem-solving abilities, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Facilities Technician **Location:** Harvard, MA **Pay Range: $30-35/hour** **Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm** **What's the Job?** + Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of doors including dock levelers, exterior sliding gates, motor-operated roll-up doors, and more. + Support electronic access control systems by installing, configuring, and maintaining components such as proximity sensors, mag locks, and key access systems. + Perform mechanical inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure door and access hardware functionality. + Assist with general maintenance tasks such as patching, painting, minor plumbing, and lighting repairs to support facility operations. + Conduct inspections, document work, and communicate effectively with management to ensure safety and operational standards are met. **What's Needed?** + High School diploma or GED equivalent. + Strong mechanical, electrical troubleshooting, and programming skills. + Experience with door systems and access control hardware, including brands like Stanley, Dormakaba, Tormax, and Schlage. + Ability to analyze operations, determine causes of malfunctions, and take corrective actions. + Willingness to work in a team environment, maintain punctuality, and lift up to 50 lbs. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive environment supporting critical manufacturing operations. + Potential for overtime and career growth within the organization. + Engagement in meaningful work that ensures safety and operational excellence. + Supportive team environment with a focus on safety and continuous improvement. + Work schedule Monday through Friday, with regular hours and minimal on-call responsibilities.
