Job Description

The Technology Training Specialist oversees the planning, development, and implementation of training programs designed for Technology team members as well as the broader organization. This role focuses on ensuring that all team members, regardless of department, have access to technology training options that equip them with the technical, analytical, and business management skills necessary to support Pilot’s technology strategy and transformation. By expanding training opportunities beyond the Technology team, this role helps foster a culture of technological proficiency and continuous learning throughout the organization.

Essential Job Functions: 

Collaborates with subject matter experts and leaders across multiple departments to ensure alignment on training plans, accuracy of content, and execution.Develops, designs, and implements training plans and and content based on priority and impact.Facilitates and administers training via multiple channels including in-person, e-learning, virtual, and third party-led trainings.Measures effectiveness of training programs by eliciting team member feedback through surveys and other means.Manages training resources including budget, tools, materials, and third-party consultants to ensure optimal utilization.Partners with department heads and human resources to ensure technology team members have clear job competencies, development plans, and career paths. Stays up to date with latest training methodologies and technology trends, implementing into roadmap as needed.

QualificationsBachelor's Degree RequiredMinimum 3 years experienceAdult learning theories / principlesTraining evaluation methodsProficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Workday LearningProficiency with virtual training platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Webex)Familiarity with AI-driven or adaptive learning technologiesStrong understanding of enterprise technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, cybersecurity basics, data analytics tools).Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible training for non-technical audiences.Career pathing and competency frameworks Applying change management frameworks (e.g., ADKAR)
