Job Description

Summary

This position is responsible for providing support to our venues, both directly and through assisting in the development and maintenance of materials, systems, and programs to promote Food Safety and Quality Assurance in venues and ensure regulatory compliance.

 

Responsibilities

Perform onsite food safety assessments and work with team members to improve food safety outcomesWork with training department to create new food safety training materials and rollout to appropriate team membersConduct food safety training for new and promoted team membersMaintain health department inspection data to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.  Escalate critical findings to the food safety team and Operations for immediate actionMaintain strong working relationships with key regulatorsPartner with Sourcing team to ensure accurate record keeping from vendorsOrganize and maintain department recordsReport on key metricsPartner with Training Department and oversee the ServSafe certification processSupport Food Safety Team with internal projectsConduct basic nutritional information researchAssist in development & monitoring of Allergen ProgramOrganize and provide food venues with most up to date information regarding allergens, menu revisions and new productsPromote and drive a culture of continuous improvement for all food safety related activities and programsCollaborate with business stakeholders to identify and resolve any critical issues impacting the businessCompletion of assigned projects to meet department goals and objectivesMorning FDC Quality Assurance Receiving – Work with team on Quality Checks of incoming productUHU support – Conduct on site inspections for UHU as needed.Procedure & policy development including food safety, sanitation, allergen & HAACP programs.Staff Training – Support training in the food & classroom as needed for food safety to management & hourly Team membersAudits & Inspections – perform regular scheduled & unannounced inspections to ensure standards are being met.Regulatory compliance & incident investigation conduct as needed and track to identify trends.Data Analysis & Record Keeping of venue audits, guest comments, investigations, etc. pertaining to food safety & product qualityPerform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in food service industry with responsibility in food safety, training, and development of written materialsMinimum of Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in biology, chemistry, public health, or another closely related scienceStrong knowledge and understanding of FDA Model Food Code, retail food regulationsExperience with regulatory inspectionsStrong knowledge of allergensCertified ServSafe Professional.

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
