About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Specialist, Portfolio Management specializing in enterprise training, with a focus on acquiring and developing online courses, video content, and live classes. This role is ideal for a content professional with a passion for educational innovation, strong project management skills, and a proven ability to sign and nurture experts and trainers.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and recruit thought leaders and instructors with a proven track record for delivering content, focusing on technical subjects and emerging trends.Research leading market trends in technology for AI and other relevant fields to identify new content areas.Evaluate course proposals, video scripts, and training outlines, ensuring alignment with market needs and organizational standardsLead the full lifecycle of content development: from acquisition and contract negotiation to guiding trainers and authors through course creation, video production, and live event planning.Create budgets that are in sync with expectations and project manage multiple concurrent course and training projects to maintain schedules, quality and keep titles on budget.Collaborate with marketing, sales, and production teams to ensure successful launches and ongoing promotion of new educational offerings.Coordinate with vendors to manage project lifecycles, create content, and deliver filesAttend industry conferences and virtual events to scout talent and stay ahead of content trends.Mentor junior editorial staff as needed.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.5+ years of experience in content creation, technical publishing, educational content acquisition, or a related area.Demonstrated success in signing and developing trainers and/or authors with a track record for success.Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience overseeing complex, multi-format content projects.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.Desired Skills
Understanding of technical content business, especially for AI, cybersecurity, and cloudSelf-starter, able to attend conferences and keep up with technical trendsFamiliarity with course creation platforms, video production, and live training formatsAnalytical mindset for market trends and content opportunitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a cross-functional teamA client-focused go-to-market mindsetCompensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $80,000 - $100,000.
