**GENERAL PURPOSE:**
The Free Trade Zone Specialist is responsible for providing daily oversight of FTZ transactions, while supporting administration and compliance efforts\. The FTZ Specialist will collaborate closely with our internal shipping, receiving, and inventory teams to ensure that regulations are adhered to and that inventory transactions are accurately recorded\.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
• Ensure all FTZ forms and reports required for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual operations are submitted and reviewed for accuracy\.
• Monitor FTZ operations end to end, to include daily processing zone transactions\.
• Maintain accurate documentation required for FTZ administration including inventory reports, customs documentation, zone admission records and other required compliance files\.
• Operate the FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping system with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements\.
• Engage and coordinate with Customs and Border Protection as required, ensuring full compliance with relevant regulations and procedures\.
• Routinely update and report to management concerning activities related to the FTZ ensuring timely communication, compliance deviations, or operational irregularities\.
• Validate FTZ data against actual documentation as needed to ensure accuracy of integration and information\.
• Conduct reviews and audits of all FTZ records, ensuring that accurate and complete record\-keeping is upheld for FTZ movements\.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:**
• 2\+ years experience in Foreign\-Trade Zone operations preferred\.
• High school diploma or GED\.
• Must possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to communicate with all levels of management and departments both within and outside the company\.
• Candidates should possess self\-motivation and can work collaboratively as part of a team or independently with minimal supervision\.
• Candidates should possess a working knowledge of logistics activities including import activities\.
• Advanced Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, and Outlook
• Experience dealing directly with US Customs and Border Protection preferred\.
• It is essential to complete the PIT \(Power Equipment Training\) and not to have a fear of heights\.
• Must pass Word, Excel, 10 key, IC&QA Test and Math Aptitude testing\.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:**
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer\.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in\-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc\.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance\.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically\.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
This role requires full\-time in\-office presence, including to engage in in\-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback\.
