Job Title:  Specialist Accounting

Work model: Hybrid - Sofia, Bulgaria  

The Specialist Accounting is responsible for the supporting the delivery of a quality and timely closing of each period for the Concentrix Bulgaria companies in accordance with US GAAP and local requirements. The Specialist Accountant is ready to work with a wide range of accounting tasks related to different areas such as General Ledger, Banking, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and statutory reporting. Daily activities include activities like posting journals, perform account reconciliations, prepare reports and analyzing accounting data.

You will be working primarily with local accounting colleagues but also with Company Shared Services teams, as well as people from other verticals such as People Solution, Operations and FP&A. A significant focus for the accounting team is to ensure that month-, quarter- and year-end processes are executed fluently with a high degree of accuracy and timely delivery. It should be noted that tight reporting deadlines will require a degree of flexibility regarding working hours, particularly at the end and beginning of the month.

Key Accountabilities and Duties

Enters, processes and consolidates accounting data, performing the relevant accounting operations in compliance with the company processes and procedures and the tax and accounting legislation.

Posts journals to general ledger for related BS and PL accounts activities, prepares and posts monthly journal entries related to accruals, allocations, cross-charges, reclasses. Performs closing of accounts and supports the account reconciliations and flux analysis

Supports the Accounts payable, employee expenses processes, including communication with vendors or the related company teams/employees

Supports the Payroll booking and Bank allocation processes

Supports the Company Shared Services teams for the activities related to the Company’s Fixed Assets, Treasury, Intercompany and Billing processes

Supports 3rd party service providers (accounting and tax services) with the required accounting reports and information

Supports the Internal reporting process by providing regular and ad-hoc reports and analyses to Operations, FPA, and other Company functions 

Supports the monthly/quarterly/annual statutory reporting as per the Company accounting policy and the Bulgarian tax legislation, including the regular VAT, WHT, BNB, NSI reporting

Supports tax and audit inspections and the preparation of reports required by the tax authorities

Supports in the development, improvement and alignment of the accounting process to the business and statutory requirements

Support the Preparation of the Annual Financial statements, CIT declaration and all relevant supporting documents as per the statutory regulation

Minimum Required Qualifications/Skills

Skills & Experience

At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience working within an international company

Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables.

Good knowledge about local accounting standards. Knowledge on US GAAP is considered as advantage.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance or Accounting

Relevant accounting certificates are considered an advantage

Proficient in Microsoft Office

User knowledge from one or many ERP systems. Experience from Workday-ERP is considered as an advantage.

Fluency in English and Bulgarian
