DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Special Investigator 1 you will perform technical criminal or civil investigations of alleged insurance law violations by insurance producers and companies. This includes participating in on-site investigations, interviewing policyholders and insurance company representatives to gather information, resolving complaints, and coordinating with peer divisional staff and law enforcement to protect consumers through fair and efficient regulation of the insurance industry. We will rely on you to provide technical expertise by preparing summaries, findings, and recommendations based on the information gathered and analyzed for each case. In performing field investigations, you will exercise judgement and make decisions on techniques to carry out the assignments, research records and laws, prepare strategies for interviews, and interpret and apply insurance laws and regulations. Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment + Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. + Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
