Looking for an opportunity to drive operational excellence and grow your career? The Ops team is seeking a driven Specialist to lead our SPAR (Specialization and Advanced Recovery) Department. This role offers significant visibility and impact, working directly with site leadership and cross-functional partners to enhance our customer experience through improved specialized handling processes.
Key job responsibilities
• Own end-to-end SPAR operations.
• Drive WIP management and backlog reduction initiatives
• Develop and scale training programs across the network
• Implement process improvements for Specialized items with a focus on high-value/high-risk item handling
• Partner with R&R & RELO teams on SPAR operational excellence
• Support network-wide SPAR expansion efforts
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
- • Excel proficiency
- • Basic knowledge in SQL
- • Basic knowledge in programming
- • Basic knowledge in data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Supply Chain or related field
- 1+ years project management experience
- 1+ years SQL experience
- Current/previous experience in Specialization, Problem Solve, or related area
- Advanced technical skills (R/SPSS/SAS/Python)
- Strong track record of process improvements
- Software development experience/coding knowledge
- Experience with creating trainings
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $44,512/year in our lowest geographic market up to $54,912/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
