Lead and execute the fabrication of intricate aerospace components using diverse industrial sewing machines. Achieve zero defects by implementing rigorous precision standards, comprehensive machine maintenance, specialized tooling, advanced operator training, and continuous quality monitoring.

ResponsibilitiesPerform complex assembly operations utilizing industrial sewing machines and hand tools to meet rigorous aerospace customer quality requirements.Execute intricate assembly procedures with specialist knowledge in aerospace-grade sewing and manual fabrication.Calibrate and optimize industrial sewing machine parameters, including thread tension and needle types, to eliminate fabrication anomalies.Perform precision stitching on diverse technical materials, including advanced synthetic and polymer-based composites.Adhere to complex work instructions, engineering blueprints, and approved sample standards with aerospace-level precision.Apply advanced aerospace manufacturing expertise to ensure customer products achieve superior durability and performance.Configure and optimize sewing and fabrication machinery to aerospace specifications for precise production output.Diagnose and resolve mechanical, process, and design issues to ensure optimal machine performance and material integrity.Design innovative, complex products and manage multiple priorities while influencing team collaboration for exemplary safety execution.Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area, complying with safety standards and quality practices.Demonstrate a proactive and flexible approach to contribute to critical tasks, optimize processes, and drive business performance.
Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalency certificate.Minimum of 5+ years of progressive, expert-level experience in industrial textile fabrication, focusing on aerospace soft goods manufacturing.Mastery in operating, calibrating, and optimizing diverse industrial sewing machines for aerospace-grade precision.Ability to interpret and execute highly complex engineering blueprints and technical assembly diagrams.Understanding of advanced stitching termination techniques and calibration of thread tensions.Expertise in handling specialized technical fabrics and advanced threads like Kevlar and Nomex.Proficiency in material handling, precise measurement, and minimizing material waste.Command of specialty tooling and fixtures pertinent to aerospace soft goods assembly.Ability to conduct advanced quality inspections and ensure absolute conformance and traceability.Commitment to working within established aerospace safety protocols and quality management systems.
