About the Role

We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SOX Consultant to lead critical initiatives in financial reporting, SOX compliance, and operational accounting. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about building processes from the ground up. You’ll play a key role in shaping our accounting infrastructure, driving compliance, and mentoring a growing team.


Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement accounting processes and internal controls from scratch, ensuring scalability and complianceLead SOX testing and documentation efforts, partnering with internal audit teams to ensure regulatory alignmentOversee financial reporting, revenue recognition, and inventory control functionsPrepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation with a focus on accuracy and SOX complianceTrain and mentor team members on proper documentation, control procedures, and audit readinessCollaborate with external accountants during month-end close and support internal audit processesLeverage ERP systems to generate reports and support financial operations and decision-makingDrive change management initiatives and foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvementRequired Skills & QualificationsProven experience in hands-on accounting roles (not upper management)Strong understanding of journal entries, ERP systems, and internal controlsDeep knowledge of SOX compliance, SOX audit, and SOX testingBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred5–7+ years of experience in SEC reporting, with exposure to both private and public accounting (Big 4 experience highly valued)Expertise in US GAAP, SEC regulations, and XBRL reportingExceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in ERP and financial reporting systemsWhy Join UsBe part of a transformative journey, building accounting systems from the ground upCollaborate with a high-performing team and make a tangible impactEnjoy a culture that values innovation, accountability, and continuous learning

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
