Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated SOX Compliance Consultant to develop and implement accounting processes and controls from the ground up. This role involves leading financial reporting, revenue recognition, and inventory control efforts, while also ensuring compliance with specific accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will train and mentor team members, collaborate with external accountants, and utilize the SAP B1 (Cloud) ERP system to enhance financial operations.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement new accounting processes and controls.Lead financial reporting, revenue recognition, and inventory control efforts.Prepare journal entries and support documentation for SOX compliance.Train and mentor team members on documentation and control procedures.Collaborate with external accountants for month-end close and internal audit teams.Utilize SAP B1 (Cloud) ERP system for report generation and financial operations.Ensure compliance with specific accounting regulations.Drive change management and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Essential SkillsProven experience in hands-on accounting roles.Strong understanding of journal entries, ERP systems, and internal controls.Experience with SOX compliance and process development.Demonstrated ability to teach and coach team members effectively.Comfortable with change management and building systems from the ground up.Additional Skills & QualificationsApproachable, collaborative, and confident in providing constructive feedback.Enthusiastic about the importance of financial controls and able to inspire others.Work Environment
This position offers a highly flexible hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence two days a week. For initial training, expect to be in the office more frequently during the first few weeks.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
