**The Role**
As **Sous Chef – Pastry** , you will lead the pastry section, ensuring the creation of exceptional desserts and baked goods that delight our guests and colleagues. Your expertise will bring creativity and precision to every dish, reflecting Hyatt’s commitment to quality and care.
**Responsibilities include:**
+ Supervise daily pastry kitchen operations.
+ Design and execute menus featuring innovative and classic pastry creations.
+ Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sustainability standards.
+ Train and mentor pastry team members to maintain excellence and efficiency.
+ Monitor inventory, control food costs, and manage supplier relationships.
+ Maintain high standards of presentation, taste, and consistency.
+ Support initiatives that promote health, wellness, and sustainability in pastry offerings.

**Qualifications:**
**Who You Are:**
+ Proven experience as Sous Chef or Chef de Partie specializing in pastry.
+ Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, chocolate work, and dessert presentation.
+ Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
+ Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
+ Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain consistency.
