We are seeking a detail-oriented Sourcing Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for locating and evaluating sources for assigned categories and commodities, supporting new supplier qualification, and maintaining order quantities. Your role will involve staying informed on market trends and materials information, as well as supporting cost and lead time reduction efforts.
ResponsibilitiesLocate and evaluate sources for assigned categories and commodities, assessing capability, capacity, and market constraints.Review competitive proposals to ensure the best purchasing decisions.Support new supplier qualification and new product development activities, including conducting supplier visits and audits.Place and enter purchase orders as required by the company.Stay informed on new market trends and materials information to maintain a competitive edge.Maintain order quantities based on established formulas to optimize inventory management.Support efforts to reduce costs, reduce lead times, and improve inventory turns.Essential SkillsProficiency in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, and strategic sourcing.Experience with Excel and ERP systems.Basic knowledge of purchasing practices.Good verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, with a preference for Supply Chain Management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves engaging with suppliers, conducting audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Regular use of Microsoft Office and ERP systems is expected.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $36.00/hr.
