Job Title: Sourcing ManagerJob Description

The Sourcing Manager will develop and implement strategies for best practices regarding cost, risk, and schedule balance for assigned commodities. This role involves delivering complex, custom-engineering solutions to a diverse customer base with challenging schedules and cost boundaries. The incumbent will have project management and commodity buying responsibilities that may vary upon business needs.

ResponsibilitiesLead and manage overall supply chain activities for assigned projects from OTO (offer to order) to OTC (order to completion).Create, control, and execute project-related optimized sourcing strategies to ensure project success and risk mitigation.Review customer specifications and provide procurement-related comments as needed.Perform market analysis and negotiate with suppliers on technical and commercial issues to ensure effective procurement at or below market levels or cost estimates.Coordinate and align purchasing activities with the global Material Group Manager.Review, control, forecast, and report the status of the project purchasing budget and activities during project review meetings.Provide customer-focused assistance to internal customers, especially in association with key projects and requirements.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.Purchase materials and services in accordance with established policies and procedures.Develop collaborative relationships and strategic alliances with suppliers to promote quality improvement and cost reductions.Support special project activities for the team as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain.Essential Skills5+ years of strategic procurement experience, specifically in project-based, custom projects.Experience dealing with schedules, deadlines, etc., within procurement.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.ERP system experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to build networks and work in a cross-functional environment with different suppliers.Proficient negotiation skills.Self-directed and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.Proficient work ethic with a positive attitude.Work Environment

This is an onsite position at the production facility. You will work with 3-4 other team members onsite and report to the Director who is located in Canada. The position operates on a flexible 1st shift, but you must be onsite between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. The dress code is business casual. This direct placement opportunity offers growth potential into a management role overseeing team members.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
