The Sourcing Manager, Ingredients NA supports the development of sourcing practices for assigned regional ingredients including sourcing strategy execution and stakeholder management to maximize the total value of ownership for the organization. This person works closely with the global and regional business to facilitate best practice sharing and drive improved cost, quality, service, and compliance to the organization.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategy for Ingredient Categories
Analyze spend data and understand the business needs under 7 step sourcing framework.
Provide market and supplier insights to maximize opportunities.
Conduct bids and negotiate high value supply agreements with key suppliers
Coordinate contract implementation and ensure smooth contract execution.
Executes complex sourcing strategies with a range of different interventions using the full set of tools, materials, techniques, and systems available.
Expected to give regular strategy updates and presentations to senior leadership stakeholders.
Venture Integration- MDLZ recently acquired Clif Bar. This role will be dedicated to Clif Bar legacy and organic ingredient categories.
Support Clif Bar Ingredient Sourcing migration (processes, contracts, compliance, etc.) to MDLZ
Apply judgement to determine how to best apply new processes to secure best value
Be a change management advocate with external and internal business partners
Supplier Relationship Management
Select, build, and maintain long term relationships with supplier network.
Lead supplier development activities, set-up cross functional review meetings with suppliers to improve performance and further reduce costs.
Understand suppliers’ approaches and decision-making processes and incorporate this into strategy
Travel to supplier locations to maintain connectivity and collaboration with various levels within supplier organizations.
Cost Optimization & Productivity
Drive ideation on cost saving projects with suppliers and cross functional teams
Drive implementation of productivity projects in the region and escalate for support at right time
Leverage data driven insights from analytical tools available
Risk Management
Proactively identify supply continuity risks and develop mitigation plans.
Lead business continuity projects for ingredient spend area- collaborate with cross functional team to ensure strategy is aligned with business and prioritization is clear
Work with supplier on Business Contingency plans for supply risk
Stakeholder Management
Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders from R&D, CPRM, Ops. Team, Sustainability, Compliance and Finance.
Manage internal customer feedback and supplier performance. Improve and reinforce Procurement’s profile and recognition within the internal customer community.
Engages the right internal stakeholders and external partners to drive focused, value-creating collaboration in support of strategic business needs
Collaborate closely with operation teams and act as relationship owner towards suppliers.

Education / Certifications: Minimum of bachelor's degree
Job specific requirements:
Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in Sourcing/ Supply Chain.
Food industry experience preferred.
Have experience selecting and managing suppliers, including negotiating price, risk management, and contract management.
Global or matrix organization experience is a plus
Travel requirements: 20%
Work schedule: From Monday to Friday. Hybrid role - 2 times per week.
Salary and Benefits: The base salary range for this position is $95,100 - $130,800; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program.
