Sourcing Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY: The sourcing engineer reports directly to sourcing manager and will be mainly focus iron and Stainless-stell valve parts supplier management for supplier development and management . PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: + QAD price maintenance: Requires quotation, comparison, and negotiation; (suppliers related to iron valves, stainless steel valves, castings, forgings, machining, rubber parts, etc.) + Mold contract signing, payment, and other procedures + Cross-departmental coordination: Coordinate suppliers with product managers and engineering departments for drawings and price negotiations, and promptly provide quotations to product managers or relevant engineers + Sales sample shipment work + Supplier negotiation: Negotiate with relevant suppliers, continuously drive down material costs, and achieve annual Cost Down + Other tasks assigned by line manager EMPLOYEE CORE COMPETENCIES: 1. Initiate Positive Change EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, Automation, Instrumentation, or related fields; at least 3 years of procurement experience. • Work Experience: Prior experience in valve procurement or related fields, with familiarity of the valve market and supply chain. • Valve Knowledge: Basic understanding of the principles of various valve types (e.g., ball valves, butterfly valves, gate valves). • Procurement Knowledge: Familiarity with valve procurement processes and standards, able to interpret technical specifications, determine procurement needs, and evaluate and select suitable suppliers. • Supply Chain Management: Knowledge and skills in supply chain management, including supplier selection, procurement negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation. • Cost-Effectiveness Analysis: Capable of conducting cost-benefit analyses to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities to effectively negotiate with suppliers on price, delivery time, technical support, and other aspects to reach favorable agreements.
