Job Description
The Sourcing and Purchasing Specialist is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and planning materials for our company. This role is key to ensuring materials are available to meet production schedules and quality standards, optimizing inventory levels, and fostering relationships with suppliers to support production goals. The focus is on building supplier relationships in North America, particularly with metal manufacturers and raw material providers, to establish groundwork for domestic purchasing.
ResponsibilitiesResearch, identify, and assess potential vendors and suppliers based on quality, pricing, delivery, and reliability.Develop relationships with local suppliers in the United States to support our vision of increased local sourcing.Maintain pricing records, requests for quotes, and other documentation necessary for competitive sourcing efforts.Collaborate with production teams to forecast material needs and develop efficient production schedules.Analyze inventory, demand trends, and material lead times to create external and intercompany purchase orders.Verify purchase order confirmations and, if necessary, solicit compliance with the delivery date.Verify and, if necessary, adjust the safety stock of purchasing components.Monitor inventory levels, track key materials, and manage reordering points to ensure material availability without overstocking.Manage and validate all data within our ERP system (SAP) related to inventory and purchasing.Essential Skills4+ years experience in purchasing and sourcing suppliers.Experience in the manufacturing industry.Knowledge of purchase orders (POs) and ERP systems.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to compile and analyze data for necessary problem-solving.Proven ability to meet deadlines.Additional Skills & QualificationsSAP experience is a plus.Knowledge and fluent use of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.Positive attitude and capability to work in a team environment.Work Environment
The role is based in an industrial building in York, featuring a half warehouse and half office setup. There is currently no manufacturing performed at this location, but there are plans to expand for manufacturing capabilities. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a business casual dress code. Potential travel may be required to visit potential or current suppliers domestically or internationally.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.

100% of the employee cost; employee pays as follows for additional family members:
Employee and Child(ren): $131.33/paycheck (24 pay periods per year → $262.66/month)
Employee and Spouse: $288.92/paycheck (24 pay periods per year → $577.84/month)
Family: $372.71/paycheck (24 periods per year → $745.42/month)
o Eligibility is the 1st of the month after hired
o There is a yearly deductible of $2,000 for the employee which the company covers
through a contribution to the employee’s HSA account; $83.50/paycheck (24 pay
periods)
• 401K plan offered through Sentry => Maximum 4% company match
o Eligibility is the 1st of the month after hire
o 100% match for the first 3% the employee contributes and 50% match on the 4th % and
5
th % the employee contributes
• Employee Assistance Program, EAP, available to the employees and their family members
• Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Life Insurance, Accidental Death and
Dismemberment policies are paid for by ATOS NA for the employee
• Cell Phone Allowance, (if a cell phone is applicable for the position), $40 per month
• Paid Time Off, (PTO), PTO days are negotiated as part of the hiring process; there is a
maximum 5-days carryover from one year to the next year
