Responsible for all aspects of the program including the administration, planning, continuous review, development, and general effectiveness of the program as well as duties as defined for full-time faculty. Responsibilities also include meeting and maintaining program requirements, systematic review of program effectiveness among didactic, laboratory and clinical components, student recruitment committee assignments, and serving as a liaison with health care facilities.
Responsibilities Plans, administers, manages, and evaluates the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program and course offerings in a teaching and learning environment that utilizes digital solutions for courses, textbooks, learning labs, online tutoring, and other learning support servicesProvides leadership and vision for the creation and implementation of a strategic plan for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography ProgramDevelops and implements program changes and courses in response to the needs of the communityFunctions as the instructional leader for the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in the development, assessment, semester planning, and revision of curricula program outcomes and student learning outcomes in collaboration with facultyPerforms other duties as assigned Qualifications Education/ExperienceMaster's degree from an accredited college or university is requiredMust also hold a valid registered diagnostic medical sonography credential from the ARDMS in Abdominal and/or OB-GYN. Vascular credential preferred.Minimum of 4 years' experience as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer of which two years must include experience in clinical diagnostic care.In-depth understanding of planning, instructional delivery (i.e., teaching), program development, and evaluation.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesGeneral administrative duties.Strong attention to details,Effectively manage and organize daily tasks independently and with a team while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlinesA high degree of interpersonal competency:professionalism, diplomacy, judgement and discretion.Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues.Ability to solve complex problems and meet deadlines.Exceptional analytical, problem solving skills, collaboration, and matrix management skills.Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal).Certifications/LicensuresARDMS in Abdomen and/or OBGYN. Vascular, a plus.TravelAs needed. Maximum Salary USD $150,000.00/Yr. Minimum Salary USD $120,000.00/Yr.
