Job Title: Solutions Manager

Salary/Grade: £67,569 – £80,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: Larne

Benefits: 

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Up to 31% bonus

Car allowance - £540pcm

Contributory pension scheme - Caterpillar will double the employee's contribution up to 6%

Contributory share scheme - Caterpillar will match 50% of the employee's contribution.

This position requires a 4.5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior manager who will be responsible for sourcing and securing capacity to support our Power Solutions business. The Caterpillar power solutions business offers our customers end-to-end power generation solutions for their relevant application.  This role delivers business solutions that are globally effective and applicable to support the execution of the Large Electric Power (LEPs) division. 

This role is critical to the success of Caterpillars Large Electric Power Solutions (LEPs) Business.  This role sources suppliers who will manufacture CAT Solutions (Standby and Prime Genset Enclosure units) for our division, serving our customers in the EAME region.  This role requires a strong technical background along with a customer-focused commercial mindset.  The person must bring significant leadership skills along with influencing skills.

What you will do:

Source, develop and onboard suppliers across the EAME region who can successfully manufacture CAT Solutions, diesel and Gas Genset enclosures along with electrical controls and switchgear.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with those sourced suppliers

Lead a team responsible for ensuring the suppliers meet the key People, Quality, Velocity and Cost metrics for our business.

Lead a group of individual contributors that deliver projects associated with lean processes, global market understanding, tools, and systems.

Manage the overall design and development of solutions, collaborates with senior stakeholders and business users to collect VOB/VOC, business requirements, and prepares implementation plans for successful deployment.

Execute key strategic initiatives such as the development of standardized best practices, offerings, services and development of associated tools & training.

Drive adoption and identifying continuous improvement opportunities/projects, including standardization and simplification, and mitigating risks.

Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

Cost-Benefit Analysis: Ability to analyse the purpose and scope of a producer, product, process, or project in terms of cost and benefits.

Top candidates also have:

Experience in Deisel and Gas Power Generators sales

Experience in scope of Data Centre standby and prime power sourcing requirements

Extensive experience and knowledge of EAME CAT dealer network

Experience of working across Global Sales organisations.

A completed university degree in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical), manufacturing, or related field.

Additional information:

This role will require 20% travel within the EMEA region
