Meet the Team 

Cisco is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer with a strong technical background to join our team in Singapore. In this pre-sales technical role, you will partner closely with Account Executives to showcase Cisco's software and product solutions. As a trusted advisor, you will leverage your industry knowledge and years of technology experience to support technical selling, articulate solution benefits, and design tailored configurations to meet specific customer requirements.
 
Your Impact 
You will play a key role in driving strategic opportunities within the Singapore theatre and supporting future pilot business initiatives across ASEAN. Our team leads the pre-sales process for programmatic selling, collaborating with peers to maximize sales coverage. Your expertise will enable the Virtual Sales team to achieve greater success in the region.

Act as a technical advisor for assigned accounts and partners within a defined geography.Deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations for customers, partners, and prospects.Develop and contribute to formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.Stay current on competitive landscape, industry trends, and Cisco product innovations.Serve as a networking specialist, providing consultative support to other Systems Engineers.Foster collaboration across teams to ensure comprehensive sales coverage. 

Minimum Qualifications 

Minimum 4 years of pre-sales experience required; strong preference for candidates with Cisco product knowledge or experience with key competitor technologies.Minimum of CCNP/CCIE (Networking) certification, BS/BA in EE/CS, or equivalent vendor certification required.Industry knowledge of relevant solution sets, product specifications, performance criteria, and applications.Strong understanding of competitive solutions and offerings in your area of specialization.Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and add value in collaborative environments.Demonstrated consultative skills, acting as a technical advisor to both sellers and customers.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues and recommend effective solutions.Ability to relate and cross-sell multi-architecture solutions during customer engagements. 

Preferred Qualifications 

Additional language skills relevant to the ASEAN region.Experience working in a virtual sales environment.Familiarity with pilot business projects or new market initiativesBroad generalist knowledge across Cisco's solutions portfolio, with deeper expertise in enterprise networking and security. Additional knowledge in collaboration, data center, cloud solutions, and virtualization is highly desirable.
