**Job Description:**
**Job Summary**
This position is responsible for designing and delivering tailored supply chain solutions that support customers’ strategic objectives. Leveraging proprietary and third-party tools, the role conducts advanced data analysis to develop transportation, distribution, logistics, inventory, and overall supply chain strategies. It strengthens customer relationships by positioning UPS as a single-source provider for transportation and supply chain needs, while generating consulting revenue. An ideal candidate will feel comfortable providing subject matter expertise, executing complex supply chain and distribution analyses, and communicating actionable recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Validate documents/work orders outlining solutions to be developed, associated tasks to be performed, and deliverables to be provided with the customer and internal Solutions Customer Facing Teams prior to project initiation.
+ Develops project plans based on customer feedback and ensures projects are completed on time and according to the scope specifications.
+ Performs complex data analytics on specific data sets in order to baseline a customer’s logistics network utilizing advanced analytics tools.
+ Reviews data analysis with customers and internal solutions teams to validate accuracy and inputs to be used for advanced modeling tools.
+ Become a subject matter expert in advanced supply chain optimization software/tools for modeling a customer’s logistics network based on the complex data sets used as inputs.
+ Evaluate model results and develop recommendations based on supply chain/logistics expertise.
+ Prepare best in class presentations and effectively communicate the project results to executive level customer contacts.
+ Continue to maintain and develop current supply chain trend knowledge and integrate that expertise into customer deliverables.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or International equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Logistics/Supply Chain, Data/Business Analytics, Financial Analytics
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Access and Excel
+ Experience in database management, supply chain logistics, or network modeling – Preferred
+ Experience in advanced data analytics tools; Alteryx, SQL, Python – Preferred
+ Experience with data visualization tools; Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI - Preferred
+ Understanding of transportation networks, hub/sort operations, zone and rate structure -Preferred
+ Consulting experience in the supply chain industry – Preferred
+ Experience using mapping applications such as ESRI and/or GIS – Preferred
+ Experience using supply chain logistics modeling applications such as Logic Net Plus, I-2 Strategist, Supply Chain Guru X (SCGX), AnyLogistix - Preferred
**Compensation and Benefits** :
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $69,180/year to $128,220/year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
