In this role, you will be the technical leader responsible for designing and guiding our journey from legacy systems to modern, scalable, and cloud-native architectures. You will work closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to define modernization strategies, design target-state solutions, and ensure successful implementation. **Key Responsibilities** + Develop and define comprehensive application modernization strategies, roadmaps, and architectural blueprints. + Design and document target state architectures using modern patterns such as microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing. + Evaluate and assess the existing application portfolio, recommending appropriate modernization approaches (e.g., re-platform, re-factor, re-host, re-architect). + Lead technical discussions and provide hands-on guidance to development teams throughout the design and implementation phases. + Collaborate with business stakeholders and product managers to understand functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions. + Ensure that all proposed solutions adhere to best practices for security, performance, scalability, and reliability. + Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies, tools, and trends in the application modernization space. + Mentor and coach junior architects and engineers on modern architectural principles and design patterns. **Qualifications** + **Experience:** + 8+ years of experience in a software development or architectural role, with at least 3 years as a Solution Architect. + Proven, hands-on experience in leading and executing application modernization initiatives. + Extensive experience with at least one major public cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). + **Technical Skills:** + Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, APIs). + Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines. + Strong knowledge of various migration strategies and their trade-offs. + Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, .NET, Node.js, Python). + Experience with database modernization, including migrating from relational databases to modern NoSQL or managed services. + **Soft Skills:** + Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. + Ability to influence and build consensus with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset. + Experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment. **Workplace type** **:** On-site Working **About NTT DATA** NTT DATA is a $30+ billion trusted global innovator of business and technology services.
