Our client, a leading player in the electronics manufacturing industry, is seeking a Soldering Technician to join their team. As a Soldering Technician, you will be part of the production team supporting high-quality electronic assembly. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and a commitment to quality workmanship which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Soldering Technician
**Location:** Austin, TX
**Shift:** 8:00 am - 6:30 pm (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday)
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform hand soldering of through-hole and surface-mount components on PCBs, as well as soldering cable harnesses, ensuring strong, clean, and reliable connections.
+ Assemble electronic components, cable harnesses, and subassemblies according to schematics, diagrams, and work instructions.
+ Visually inspect solder joints and assemblies for defects using magnification tools; rework as needed to meet IPC standards.
+ Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions to complete tasks accurately.
+ Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and team members to meet production goals and resolve technical challenges.
**What's Needed?**
+ Proven experience in soldering electronic components and cable harnesses, including SMT and through-hole.
+ Familiarity with IPC-A-610 or similar soldering standards (certification is a plus).
+ Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and assembly drawings.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
+ Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
