Job Description

We are seeking skilled Soldering Technicians for a project focused on solar battery packs based in Grantsville. This position requires an expert in assembling and repairing electronic circuits and components. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, a steady hand, and a deep understanding of soldering techniques and electronic principles.

ResponsibilitiesPerform hand soldering of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) using various tools and equipment such as soldering irons, reflow ovens, and hot air rework stations.Assemble electronic devices and subcomponents with high precision.Conduct visual inspections of solder joints to ensure compliance with industry standards.Use automated and manual testing equipment to verify the functionality of assembled circuits.Identify and rectify defects or non-conformities in soldered connections.Perform rework on defective components, including desoldering and replacing parts.Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot complex issues.Adhere to company quality standards and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection protocols.Maintain accurate records of completed work, including assembly logs, inspection reports, and test results.Essential SkillsProficiency in hand soldering techniques, including through-hole and surface mount.Knowledge of electronic components, circuits, and schematics.Familiarity with soldering tools, equipment, and safety protocols.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.Experience with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards is highly desirable.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with IPC 7711 is a bonus.Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Completion of a soldering or electronics assembly certification program is preferred.High school diploma or equivalent is required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing or repair facility, involving assembly and repair of electronic devices. The position may require sitting or standing for extended periods and includes repetitive tasks. The environment includes exposure to soldering fumes, necessitating adherence to safety protocols such as wearing protective eyewear and using ventilation systems. The shift is Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
