Job Description
With limited supervision, follow production and assembly instructions, bills of material, and drawings to perform electro-mechanical assembly operations. This includes working on various items such as printed circuit board assemblies, wire/cable harnesses, subassemblies, and a variety of finished-good products. You will align, fit, and assemble component parts and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, magnification, and soldering equipment. Additionally, you will inspect parts for defects and verify the performance of assemblies and finished products.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble subassemblies and final assemblies in accordance with manufacturing outlines and blueprints.Use solder, soldering iron, and hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, and pliers) to assemble mechanical and/or electronic units.Perform hand soldering to build and rework PCB assemblies with small surface mount technology (SMT) components.Essential SkillsMinimum one year of assembly experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment; 3+ years preferred.Excellent soldering skills with the ability to hand solder small packages such as 0603 or 0402 SMT components.Proficiency using manufacturing equipment (solder, glue gun, small hand tools, etc.).Additional Skills & QualificationsCertifications in soldering, quality, or electronics (preferred, but not required).Ability to lift 10 to 15 lbs with minimal repetitions.Experience with blueprints, schematics, and electronic assembly.Ability to work in a small team and wear multiple hats when needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
