**Job Title: Assembler**
**Job Description**
As an Assembler, you will demonstrate proficiency in skills to perform consistently high-quality work in a timely manner. You will read blueprints and schematics, solder under a microscope, and be knowledgeable in J standard soldering. Your role involves tubing, grinding, and electrical troubleshooting. You will also provide feedback to Manufacturing and Engineering to improve manufacturability of components and hardware.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform manufacturing operations on assemblies or subassemblies and/or electro-mechanical assemblies of moderate to difficult complexity.
+ Work under limited supervision using drawings, visual aids, and verbal and written instructions to manufacture subassemblies, final assemblies, and/or electro-mechanical assemblies.
+ Troubleshoot electro-mechanical production equipment.
+ Collaborate with personnel outside the immediate department, such as Engineering, QA, and Materials.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in soldering and J standard soldering.
+ Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
+ Experience with tubing, grinding, and electrical troubleshooting.
+ Knowledge of power and hand tools.
+ Ability to complete basic wiring.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Knowledge of mechanical drawings and experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
+ IPC training is preferred.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, visual alertness, and manual dexterity.
+ Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
+ Basic computer skills.

**Work Environment**
Our Elkridge facility offers comprehensive turnkey electronics manufacturing solutions, including electro-mechanical manufacturing capabilities such as assembling conveyors, complex military/defense box builds, UL508a control panels, large mechanical systems, and cable/wire harnesses. The environment is fast-paced, and flexibility is key as you will move across different projects regularly.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ELKRIDGE, Maryland.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
