Solder Technician
**Job Title: Solder Technician** Job Description We are seeking skilled Solder Technicians to join our team on a contract basis through the end of the year. This role involves crimping and soldering electrical harnesses, using hand tools to disassemble products, and preparing them for reassembly by senior technicians. A solder test will be conducted during the interview process. Responsibilities + Crimp and solder electrical harnesses. + Use hand tools to disassemble products and prepare them for reassembly. + Conduct soldering tests, soldering wires to bulkheads. + Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deficiencies. + Utilize mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics to assemble electro/mechanical parts. + Learn to bench test, environmentally test, and pressure test ILI tool sub-assemblies. + Acquire skills in building, repairing, and maintaining TDW ILI Tool components. + Implement approved safety procedures to ensure personal safety. + Respond to customer requirements and address problem-solving aspects of tasks. + Develop experience, skills, and competencies to become a TDW Systems Technician. Essential Skills + Proven soldering experience. + Familiarity with IPC J-STD, 610, & 620 soldering standards. + Attention to detail. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. + Experience with surface mount technology and thru-hole soldering. + Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + IPC 610 & 620 certifications are a plus. + Process-oriented and detail-oriented mindset. + Experience is preferred over certification. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a clean facility with a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, choosing between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
