We are seeking a dedicated Software Test Developer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by interacting with project members, analyzing detailed specifications, and developing comprehensive test plans.
ResponsibilitiesInteract with project members to determine the best method for testing products, systems, or components.Read, analyze, and understand detailed specifications or product requirements.Define and implement test methods and develop test plans, including test case scenarios to ensure product requirements are met.Execute both manual tests and automated scripts, logging defects in a problem tracking database.Develop automated test solutions to validate existing and new product functionality.Develop and/or utilize existing testing APIs.Identify functional problems and suggest solutions.Report regularly on the status and issues found through testing.Interpret and review test results with other members of the product and management team.Provide initial time estimates and plans for assignments.Essential SkillsProficiency in test automation and test development.Experience with Unix systems.Expertise in software testing and documentation.C++ development experience.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.At least 2 years of software testing experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with testing APIs.Problem-solving skills.Ability to provide detailed reports and communicate findings effectively.Work EnvironmentThe work environment is an engineering office with less than 40 cubicles. Employees enjoy a standard 6 holidays and 1 week of paid time off. The office promotes a collaborative atmosphere where team members work closely together to achieve project goals.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blue Ridge Manor, KY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
