Service
Desk Operations
+ Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or high-impact incidents
+ Ensure tickets are properly triaged, prioritized, and resolved based on business impact
+ Monitor ticket queues and identify trends, recurring issues, and workload patterns
+ Provide visibility into service desk health and recommend improvements as needed
Technical Support (Hands-On)
+ Provide Tier 2/3 support for:
+ Windows and Linux endpoints and servers
+ Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
+ User account management (Active Directory / Entra ID)
+ Basic networking, firewall, and VPN troubleshooting
+ Printers, peripherals, and common business applications
+ Support onboarding/offboarding and device provisioning
Process & Continuous Improvement
+ Develop and maintain service desk SOPs, checklists, and knowledge base articles
+ Identify recurring issues and recommend root-cause fixes and preventative actions
+ Improve efficiency through workflow improvements, light automation, or better tooling
+ Help standardize service delivery while maintaining flexibility for a smaller environment
Customer & Stakeholder Communication
+ Communicate clearly and professionally with end users and leadership
+ Manage expectations during outages, degraded service, or urgent issues
+ Escalate risks, capacity concerns, or systemic issues proactively
Required Qualifications
+ 4+ years of IT support or service desk experience
+ Experience acting as a lead, technician, or escalation resource
+ Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, Linux, and cloud services
+ Experience working in smaller or fast-moving IT environments
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to balance technical execution with leadership responsibilities
Preferred
Qualifications
+ Experience working with IT service desk or ticket management platforms
+ Microsoft 365 administration experience
+ Linux system administration experience (basic to intermediate)
+ Basic scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
+ Familiarity with IT service management concepts and best practices
+ Experience supporting regulated or compliance-driven environments
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Niceville, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
