Software QA Analyst
**Job Title: Quality Assurance - QA Engineer IV** **Location:** **Onsite – Redmond, WA** **Duration:** **3 Months** **Pay Rate:** **$50/hour – $57/hour** **Overview:** We are seeking a **QA Engineer IV** to join our team for a short-term, onsite contract in Redmond. This role involves executing repeatable testing procedures, verifying system specifications, and contributing to automation efforts. The ideal candidate will bring strong software testing experience, database scripting skills, and a collaborative mindset. **Must-Have Skills:** + **Software Testing Experience** in Web-based or Windows client/server environments + **Database and Scripting Proficiency** with SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc. + **Programming Knowledge** in C#, C/C++, SQL **Nice-to-Have Skills:** + Previous **Automation Testing Experience** + Strong **Team Collaboration** and **Communication Skills** + **Basic Coding Abilities** + Experience with **Camera Features and Hardware Testing** **Key Responsibilities:** + Execute repeatable testing procedures and processes + Verify triggers, stored procedures, referential integrity, and system specifications + Interpret and modify code including C/C++, C#, batch files, Perl scripts, and SQL queries + Identify and define quality and risk metrics for project teams + Assist other testers and contribute to team knowledge sharing + Design and develop robust automated test harnesses + Address performance issues, threading problems, bottlenecks, and intermittent system failures **Skills & Qualifications:** + Experience with **database programming** (SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, DB2, etc.) + Strong understanding of the **software development lifecycle (SDLC)** + Ability to read/write at least one programming language (C#, C/C++, SQL) + Knowledge of **software QA practices** and testing methodologies + Familiarity with **PC hardware** , **internet protocols** , and **networking fundamentals** preferred + Demonstrated **project management ability** **Education & Experience:** + **Bachelor’s degree in computer science** required + Business/functional knowledge or relevant industry experience preferred If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
