Software Engineering Sr. Advisor
**Responsibilities** • Advise senior business and technology leaders on complex engineering and information management decisions that influence enterprise strategy and long‑term outcomes. • Design and evolve a consolidated enterprise data warehouse and data lake that unifies customer, provider, claims, client, benefits, and other critical data domains. • Architect scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that enable enterprise analytics, reporting, and data‑driven decision‑making. • Lead the design and development of modern, cloud‑native applications and microservices that meet high standards for performance, reliability, and maintainability. • Deliver data platforms and pipelines that uncover meaningful insights by transforming large, complex datasets into trusted, actionable information. • Establish and promote best practices for system architecture, data modeling, ETL design, CI/CD, and cloud operations across teams. • Serve as a technical mentor and trusted advisor, elevating engineering excellence and fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement. • Lead or significantly influence large, high‑impact initiatives that span teams and disciplines, ensuring outcomes align with business priorities. • Act as a recognized internal expert, tackling the most complex and ambiguous information management challenges across the organization. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications** • Minimum **8 years of professional experience** in software engineering, data engineering, or information management roles. • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise‑scale data warehouses, data lakes, or analytics platforms. • Strong expertise in Java (17 or later), Spring Boot, and modern microservices architecture. • Hands‑on experience building and optimizing data pipelines using Spark, PySpark, Scala, or similar big data technologies. • Experience deploying and operating applications in AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFront, and managed data platforms. • Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction, advise senior stakeholders, and lead through expertise rather than authority. • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, executive‑ready insights. **Preferred Qualifications** • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Experience building modern user interfaces with React and integrating them with backend APIs. • Advanced experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Hive, or Teradata in large‑scale analytics environments. • Expertise in infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline. • Passion for mentoring engineers and championing a growth mindset across teams.
