About the Role
The Walt Disney Company is seeking a passionate and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead the ServiceNow ITSM team within Enterprise Technology. This team plays a critical role in enabling Disney’s technology teams to manage cloud environments efficiently and securely through self-service platforms and lifecycle automation.
You will lead a team of developers focused on building APIs and services that empower internal customers across Disney’s public cloud environments. The role requires fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while ensuring delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
Build and lead a diverse, high-performing software development team through coaching, career development, recruitment, and process improvement.Foster a culture of ownership, inclusion, and continuous learning.Provide mentorship and career advocacy to team members.Technical Delivery & Strategy
Design and oversee technical solutions that meet Disney’s quality, scalability, and security standards.Ensure all software conforms to best practices and enterprise architecture guidelines.Champion your team’s work across the organization, ensuring visibility and strategic alignment.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with product engineers, reliability engineers, third-party vendors, and software partners to prioritize work and set clear goals.Communicate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.Regularly report on team health, delivery status, and identify gaps requiring leadership support.Basic Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of technical experience, including at least 2 years in an engineering leadership role.Proven ability to communicate technical topics clearly across multiple teams.Experience delivering platform services in cloud environments using open-source technologies.Strong documentation and communication skills.Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in cloud-native services and serverless technologies.Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks.Experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules and integrations.Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.Expertise in software engineering principles and practices (SDLC, CI/CD, Agile)Education
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Equivalent experience will be considered.Key Attributes
