This role is a technical leader responsible for designing and implementing advanced platform solutions that enable scalability, reliability, and developer productivity across Evernorth’s technology ecosystem. This role focuses on building cloud-native platforms, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation strategies that empower teams to deliver faster and more securely. You will collaborate with architects and engineering teams to drive platform initiatives, optimize infrastructure, and influence best practices. This position requires strong technical depth, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead complex projects while mentoring peers. **Responsibilities** + Architect and implement scalable platform solutions supporting multiple product teams. + Design and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure following best practices for security, reliability, and cost optimization. + Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for automated, consistent, and auditable provisioning. + Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines leveraging GitHub Actions or equivalent tools. + Create self-service capabilities to empower development teams with resource provisioning and environment management. + Collaborate with engineering teams to identify pain points and deliver platform features that improve productivity. + Participate in architectural governance and contribute to technology roadmaps. + Mentor engineers and promote adoption of platform best practices and modern tooling. + Monitor and improve platform reliability, performance, and developer experience. **Qualifications** **Required Skills:** + Strong expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures. + Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or similar). + Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development and automation tools. + Solid programming skills in Python and Node.js (TypeScript preferred). + Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). + Excellent collaboration and communication skills. **Required Experience:** + 8–11 years in software engineering or platform engineering roles. + 3–5 years of direct experience in platform engineering, including cloud-native platforms and IaC. + Proven success in leading platform initiatives and driving automation. + Practical experience with AWS, Terraform, and modern CI/CD frameworks. **About Evernorth Health Services** Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, creates pharmacy, care and benefit solutions to improve health and increase vitality.
