This position requires eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance. An active clearance is preferred but not required. This position allows approximately 80-90% telework, subject to client requirements. The candidate must be on-site at our Dahlgren, VA facility approximately 10-20 percent of the time for classified meetings and software development; as a result, candidates must be in commuting distance of Dahlgren. Responsibilities + Designing, developing, and implementing software components. + Applying software design and architecture principles to web applications, including both frontend and backend components. + Using a source control tool such as git + Writing unit tests and performing code reviews + Providing in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues Qualifications + Education / Certifications: One-year relatedexperience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. + Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field + Experience: + 3 years of experience successfully designing, developing, and implementing multiple software components. + Familiarity with web development concepts and technologies. + 3 years of experience with a source control tool such as git + 3 years of experience applying software design and architecture principles to web applications, including both frontend and backend components. + 3 years of experience with a software lifecycle management tool such as GitLab + 3 years of experience writing unit tests and performing code reviews + 3 years of experience providing in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues. + Skills & Technology Used: + Agile/Scrum software development practices + GitLab + SQL and Database Operations + Linux (CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Operating Systems + Object-oriented languages and web development technologies + Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, MATLAB, React, Websockets, REST + Clearance Requirement: + Requires eligibility to obtain DoD Secret level security clearance.
