Job responsibilities

 

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture

Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies

 

 

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityHands-on practical experience of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and associated componentsHands on experience of python and developing python based applications with APIExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesCloud implementation experience with AWS including:Data De/Serialization: Expertise in at least 2 of the formats: Parquet, Iceberg, AVRO, JSON-LAWS Data Security: Good Understanding of security concepts such as: Lake formation, IAM, Service roles, Encryption, KMS, Secrets ManagerHands on experience building Java Microservices, Spark,  etcStrong data warehouse knowledge such as Snowflake, or database knowledge such as Oracle or Postgres 

Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages

 

 

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Knowledge on Analytical App development: REACT / JavaScript / CSSKnowledge on Docker, Kubernetes etc.Experience having been a technical lead/mentor for a teamKnowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems Must have an experience working in a team, and ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversightStrong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
