As a Software Engineer III – Solutions Delivery at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank - Payment Engineering and Architecture Solutions Delivery team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

 

Job responsibilities

 

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approachesDevelop secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAddress non-functional requirements to ensure stability, security and scalability of the API infrastructure Actively participate in a highly energy global agile teamProduce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for the generated deliverablesGather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsContribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesFoster to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityFamiliarity with container and container orchestration such as Kubernetes, ECS and DockerStrong experience with Terraform and automation tooling and scripting knowledge (Bash/YAML), git-based workflowsProficient in coding in one or more languages i.e. Java, JavaScript, or PythonExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityDemonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Strong understanding of OpenAPI Specification (OAS) for RESTful API'sPractical AWS Cloud native experience
