As a Software Engineer III - Smart DX / Thunderhead Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Markets Technology Team, you'll execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. You'll be a part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

Design, build and maintenance of high quality Thunderhead/SmartDX templates across OTC, Rates, Derivatives and Structured Securitization productsWork on Thunderhead/SmartDX Release management and Regression testingWork on SmartDX API to create new job.Work on Java Script to build scripts. Handle UAT testing on linked applications impacting Thunderhead/SmartDX TemplatesHandle stakeholder’s interaction for business requirements at all stages of the development lifecycleDebug, conducting gap analysis and requirements gathering.Work on MIS Reporting and perform analysis on template breaksDrive project initiatives to increase efficiency.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experiencePrioritizing work loads in a multi-client environment where demand exceeds supply.Control mindset to identify process control gaps, prioritize & mitigate operational riskProactive in problem solving and developing solutionsTechnical Experience in Java, XML/XSLT, SQL, Java Scripting, Unix/Linux.

Experience in a Thunderhead / SMART DX Developer role.

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Equities and Derivatives experience in a global financial institution, preferably in a mix of business and technical capacities.Understanding and practical experience of front to back business processes in OTC & Securitized derivative products.Technical Experience in WordML.Bachelors degree in Computer Science
