As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Infrastructure Platforms team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives
Job responsibilities
Design, code, test, and deliver software solutions on the ServiceNow platform, leveraging firm-wide frameworks and best practices to ensure high-quality production code and secure algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.Execute software solutions with innovative approaches to design, development, and technical troubleshooting, while proactively identifying hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.Collaborate with the Business Analysis team to produce accurate estimates and agile delivery plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing scrum practices for continuous team process improvement.Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, maintaining accountability for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.Mentor junior developers, fostering their growth as professionals by enhancing both technical and soft skills, and guiding the team through technical issues and challenges.Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events, exploring new and emerging technologies to inspire and guide the team through technical challenges.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceCertified in CSA, CAD, and CIS – ITSM, showcasing a comprehensive mastery of ServiceNow functionalities and adherence to industry standards.Proficiency in JavaScript and AngularJS, with the ability to create self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.Exhibits deep expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines, with a sophisticated understanding of architecture and design across diverse systems.Possesses an in-depth understanding of the ServiceNow platform architecture, including its data model, security model, and application framework.Skilled in orchestrating ServiceNow connections with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, and proficient in authentication mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, Basic Auth, and API keys.Experienced in configuring and utilizing the ServiceNow MID Server for integrations requiring access to on-premises systems.Proficient in data mapping, transformation, and ETL processes to ensure seamless data flow between ServiceNow and other systems.Capable of designing and developing custom applications on the ServiceNow platform using App Engine Studio and other development tools.Knowledgeable in request management and adept at designing flows using Flow Designer, with practical implementation experience.Demonstrates expertise in implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, complemented by strong communication, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Familiarity with ServiceNow IntegrationHub for building reusable integrations and automating processes across platforms.Experience implementing the Service Portal on ServiceNow.Good understanding of SDLC and ITIL practices.Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
