As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within Infrastructure Platforms, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. 

Job responsibilities

Demonstrate expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplinesApply advanced knowledge of architecture, design, and business processesExhibit proficiency in modern programming languagesCollaborate effectively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goalsProgram in one or more general-purpose languages such as Java, Spring/Springboot, AngularJS/React, and SQLDevelop APIs using Java and GraphQLCreate responsive and accessible UI components using modern front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implicationsUtilize tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to enhance automation valueParticipate in code reviews and contribute to front-end best practicesImplement unit testing, multi-threading, concurrency, performance improvements, web services (REST & JSON), messaging (JMS), and cloud solutions

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts 3 years applied experienceHands on experience in Angular/React, Java, and SQL.Strong portfolio demonstrating API & UI design and development.Strong technical skills in developing Micro services using JAVA, Spring Boot and PL/SQLExperience in Java (Core & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud) and MSSQL Server/Oracle DatabaseExcellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong skills around object oriented analysis and design (OOAD),Design principles and Design patterns with ability to trouble shoot and debug an application for any application issuesHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesExposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security

Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
