As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the CORPORATE SECTOR- WHOLESALE CREDIT RISK, DATA SOURCING & ORCHESTRATION, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Lead quality assurance efforts for software development projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables through comprehensive testing strategies and methodologies.Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress and JMeter to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.Conduct functional and performance testing to validate software functionality and performance under various conditions, identifying and resolving issues promptly.Develop detailed test plans and execute test cases, ensuring thorough coverage of software features and requirements.Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.Prepare and present test reports and documentation, providing insights and recommendations for software improvements.

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of code development within Cypress to read, modify, and break down code, enabling the testing of various scenarios.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation and performance testing.Proficiency in Cypress and JMeter for test automation and performance testing. Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.Strong proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript and Java, , with extensive test automation experience and in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems.Experience with REST and GraphQL web services, including API testing and automation.Solid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.Possess strong communication skills for executive-level interactions, excellent organizational and project management abilities to handle competing priorities under tight deadlines, and a proven track record of collaboration and partnership building.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.High level of attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
