You will be part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you will execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
Job responsibilities
Develop robust, performant pricing, trading and risk systems including building new applications & enriching existing applications using the most suitable technology choices. Align development with the overall Credit trading strategy.Work across entire software development lifecycle – requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, handover to operate teams.Work closely with the Quant team to develop pricing and analytic components in Perl/PythonEnhance the team by demonstrating best practice throughout the software development lifecycle: testing, code review, accurate status reporting, focus on application resilience and “silent running”.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceStrong analytical development skills, solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and experience in real-time, resilient, high performance and/or risk and pricing and/or e-Trading areas.Proficient at least one scripting language; Perl / Python experience Experience and recognized expertise in server side Java development and design Basic knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in writing SQL queriesExperience in writing tests, object modelling and refactoringCreative, quick-thinking, pragmatic, with an aptitude for solving problems with technology and an ability to quickly translate requirements into a sound technical design and implementation. Proven organizational skills, decisive priority management, strong teamwork ethic, excellent verbal & written communication skills.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Proven ability in full stack developmentExperience in servicing .NET Clients/UI with database backend is highly desirableStrong technology generalist – experience building highly performant and resilient enterprise applications used within a high performance/realtime environmentExperience working in a team with a strong software development process (build, test, deploy etc.) A desire for knowledge of the credit industry
