As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Asset & Wealth Management, you will be an experienced member of an agile team, tasked with designing and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. Your role involves implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's strategic goals.
Job responsibilities
Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesAdds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceProficient in coding in XSLT on Murex. In-Depth knowledge of Datamart module, dynamic tables, feeders. Extractions, processing scripts.Access rights, STP rights, OSP management, Global Operating Model set up. Knowledge of Pre-Trade rules.Pricing, closing and booking sequences. Exposure to Murex Accounting rules, static accounts, scripts.Static data set up (counterparty, portfolio, etc).Ability to analyze various logs and understanding of Murex services.Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security. Proficiency in SQL, Unix.Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline.Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
