As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Commercial and Investment Bank organization, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

 

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsBuilds cloud native applications leveraging Domain driven design and micro-services architecture principles, identifying bounded contexts and service interactions – (asynchronous eventing and RESTful APIs)Collaborates to design solutions including activity flows, and logical data modelsBuilds fully automated CI / CD pipelines, support software solutions that are customer focused & highly secure and deployed on a Private Cloud Kubernetes platformWrites maintainable & testable code that is consistent with micro-service architecture principlesWorks with partner technology teams to ensure successful integrationProvides overall delivery of software components working in collaboration with product and design teamsContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceProficient hands-on coding experience in Java and key frameworks including Spring stack (spring boot, spring core, etc), and RESTful API developmentDemonstrated experience with Hibernate, RESTful, Oracle, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, mockito, jmockit, Demonstrated knowledge of patterns including side car, circuit breaker, traffic shifting, ingress, and egressExperience building cloud native applications leveraging Domain driven design and micro-services architecture principles, identifying bounded contexts and service interactions – (asynchronous eventing and RESTful APIs)Collaborate to design solutions including activity flows, and logical data modelsExperience with building fully automated CI / CD pipelines, support software solutions that are customer focused & highly secure and deployed on a Private Cloud Kubernetes platformExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
