As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Bank, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshootingWrites secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidanceDesigns, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implicationsApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automationApplies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexityLearns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systemsOptimize application performance and manage memory usage using tools such as InstrumentsImplement and manage cloud messaging APIs and push notification servicesUtilize code versioning tools, especially Git, for efficient source code managementAdhere to and apply Apple's design principles and interface guidelines in application development
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityProficient in designing and implementing iOS mobile applications using SwiftUI, Swift and Objective-C.Experience with iOS application development and frameworks Experience with One or more Design Patterns – MVC, MVVM, MVIExperience with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end servicesProficiency in Git/Bitbucket version controlExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining iOS swift code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesDemonstrable ability to code in one or more languages, as well as experience across the whole Software Development Life CycleExposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityEmerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.)
